University of Southern Mississippi Accomplishments

• College of Arts and Letter Staff Member of the Year 2013

• Secured and worked with Finch Pipe Organ Company to rebuild Holtkamp pipe organ

• Performs regular tuning and maintenance to pipe organ

• Performs regular tuning and maintenance for two harpsichords

• Rebuilt Steinway B Piano Submerged in Hurricane Katrina

• Maintains fleet of 100 pianos at the University of Southern Mississippi

• Conducted two Student tours to Baldwin Piano Factories in Conway and Trumann Arkansas

• Restored 3 concert grand pianos to service after 2013 tornado saving over $350,000.00 in replacement cost.

• Kawai EPIC School established at USM working in collaboration with Kawai America to study condition of piano fleet and create a replacement plan.

• Oversight of Purchasing of 37 New Kawai Pianos from 2011-2013.

• Preparation of university concert grand pianos prior to public performances

Responsibility for maintaining all pianos on sales floor, supervising shop projects, as well as on site customer service. Developed the high gloss finishing procedures and repairs.

 

• Thoroughly familiarized myself with products sold by Roseberry's

• Started Pianodisc player piano dealership Installed piano disc player systems

• Installed Allen church organs

• Demonstrated pianos and organs on sales floor

• Polyester finish repair and polishing

• Developed computer database for piano service customers

• Rebuilt two Yamaha concert grand pianos and numerous upright and small grand pianos.

Baldwin Piano and Organ Company 1990-1991

Responsibility for piano service department, duties included management of personnel, maintaining large piano parts department, providing service advice to piano technicians in the field, and administration of warranty service. Quality control duties included, routine tour of woodworking mill, finishing room, and piano assembly floor, inspection of pianos during all phases of construction, and reporting any defects to responsible department manager and plant manager.

 

• Supervise repair of all pianos returned to factory

• Instructor at Piano Technicians Guild international conventions

• Worked with factory piano tuners to develop better tuning procedures

• Appointed by Baldwin president to serve on quality by design committee

• Provided care for Baldwin concert grand piano at Greenwood Convention Center

• Provided service for Baldwin retail outlet located in the factory

• Worked with design of Wurlitzer's current studio piano

• Supervised final inspection of pianos produced at factory
